Businesses wanting to operate within the town limits, must apply and receive a permit before conducting business. All businesses within the Town of Gay, Georgia are required to renew their business permit each year by January 1st.  You must complete the application and the Private Employer Affidavit and submit them to City Hall with the fees as stated on the Consolidated Fee Schedule.

Contractors wishing to do business with the Town of Gay, Georgia must complete the Contractor E-Verify Affidavit and submit it along with copies of any state required licenses before your bid can be considered.

Establishments wishing to sell any alcoholic beverages (consume on premises or packaged for resale) must submit their application to city hall along with all state required documentation before any sales may take place.  Renewals are due before November 1st to ensure issuance before January 1st in compliance with state requirements.

Anyone wishing to do construction or major renovation projects must submit for a building permit in accordance with the Town of Gay Title 6 - Planning and Development ordinance for issuance before any project may commence.  The application must be accompanied with the appropriate documentation for approval.
